Barcelona is a beautiful, wonderful, amazing place filled with all sorts of incredible things that you never get to hear about unless someone expressly recommends them to you. Even after living in the city for any period of time there are still always secrets to be discovered. That’s why we’re here: to report back to the new and uninitiated on anything good, bad or in between that’s worth discussing in Barcelona.

Different to the slew of websites and magazines already claiming to offer such a service, Barcene.com, does so without any financial prejudice. Our reviews are all independent and biased solely by our own tastes and interests. Even within this we try to allow essential quality to rate higher than our own preferences, for music, styles of food etc.

As creators of the site we hope to develop a useful resource which will expand in scope and content as it becomes better established. We’re making the site because we love this city. The bars and food and nightlife are a major part of what makes Barcelona great and what we have come to love about it.
